Rejection wounds us in different ways. Some lash out, directing pain outward, blaming the world for its cruelty. Others turn inward, blaming themselves, seeing abandonment as proof of their unworthiness. Rejection and abandonment are two sides of the same coin—one external, one internal. And when betrayal or injustice cuts deep, it’s because these wounds have been left raw and unhealed.

But healing begins with awareness. What feeling do you associate with rejection? Is it sadness? Rage? Humiliation? Do you feel unseen, unchosen, cast aside? Learning this is crucial because emotions are not isolated. They stack. If trust issues trigger doubt, and doubt breeds anxiety, then anxiety spirals into shame. And how do you cope with shame? Do you withdraw, convincing yourself you don’t need anyone? Do you lash out, trying to override the shame by proving you are right? Your reaction reveals the blueprint of your wound. It is the map that leads to healing.

Before the pandemic, I was paired with a woman in a self-help program. She was intelligent, insightful, and deeply engaged—at first. But her worldview was rigid: people hurt people. That was her unshakable truth. And she had proof—years of experiences reinforcing the belief that trust led to betrayal. Ten years in therapy had done little to shift her reality. She saw herself as an empath, a highly sensitive person, too raw for the world. And so she numbed. Weed. Alcohol. Social media posts that validated her isolation. Her belief made the world hostile, and she felt powerless within it. She couldn’t sustain deep relationships because she expected to be let down. She saw flaws in everyone she met and found reasons to walk away before they could reject her first.

As the program progressed, she started missing sessions. By the third month, she was gone. And I—still working through my own abandonment wound—felt the sting of it. I lost interest, withdrew from the community, told myself, maybe this isn’t for me after all. The familiar spiral of rejection, the old story replaying itself.

But I was done abandoning myself. Instead of retreating into old patterns, I questioned them. Why did I take it personally? Why did my energy shift when she left? This wasn’t about her. This was about the wounds I had yet to face.

Healing rejection, abandonment, and betrayal is not about finding the right people who will never hurt you. It is about trusting yourself to handle whatever comes.

The Core Wounds and How They Show Up

🔹 Trust Wound → Doubt → Anxiety → Shame

You don’t trust, so you second-guess everything. You seek control to quiet the anxiety, but it’s never enough. The shame of not being able to trust becomes its own burden. Healing begins when you stop testing others and start healing your own inner conflict.

🔹 Betrayal Wound → Hyper-Independence → Isolation

You equate vulnerability with being taken advantage of. You say you don’t need anyone. You keep score in relationships, waiting for proof that someone is not who they claim to be. But walls built for protection become cages. Healing begins when you risk softness again.

🔹 Worthiness Wound → Overachieving → Burnout

You believe love must be earned. Productivity defines your value. If you’re not doing, you’re not enough. But healing comes when you understand that worth is inherent—not something you prove.

🔹 Prioritization Wound → People-Pleasing → Resentment

You put others first, always. You sacrifice your needs, then seethe in silence when no one does the same for you. Healing begins with learning to take up space without apology.

🔹 Belonging Wound → Shape-Shifting → Inauthenticity

You mold yourself to fit. You say yes when you mean no. You abandon parts of yourself to keep connections intact. But true belonging only exists when you bring all of yourself into the room.

🔹 Safety Wound → Dissociation, Hypervigilance, Recklessness → Exhaustion

The world has never felt safe. So you either shut down, always watching, waiting for the next blow, or you seek chaos, testing your limits. Healing isn’t about thinking your way to safety—it’s about teaching your body how safety feels.

Healing Requires More Than Wanting to Change

Wanting to heal and believing you can are two different things. Many stay stuck in the mindset of wishing: I really hope this works. But the mind learns through repetition, not hope. Consistency + time = transformation.

Most people manifesting change give up before the belief is fully formed. They think it’s not working. But the truth is, the subconscious simply needs repetition. Over time, new neural pathways form, new behaviors feel natural, and change no longer feels like effort—it just is.

This Work Isn’t About Perfection—It’s About Liberation

Healing rejection doesn’t mean you’ll never feel its sting again. It means when it comes, it won’t define you. It won’t send you spiraling. You’ll feel it, acknowledge it, and move forward. Because rejection is not proof that you are unworthy. It is proof that you are alive. That you are opening, risking, allowing yourself to be seen.

And that is the bravest thing of all.

Helping Visionaries & High Achievers Break Free from Subconscious Patterns and Step Into Their Power

My path to becoming a hypnotherapist and coach wasn’t a straight line. It was a journey of deep self-inquiry, resilience, and dismantling subconscious patterns that once kept me small. Like many of my clients, I’ve wrestled with self-doubt, overthinking, and the quiet ache of wondering: Am I enough?

I work with visionaries, creatives, and high-achievers—those who feel trapped between the need for belonging and the desire to live authentically. My clients are often Mature Souls—deep thinkers, seekers, and leaders who crave alignment but feel weighed down by old conditioning, perfectionism, and hidden fears.
