Everything is created twice. First, internally, and then outwardly. What’s more, the subconscious is constantly talking back to us, saying, “Make this feel familiar so I know how to survive here.”

Our perceived pain and the numbness we feel as a result are not actually part of our human design. They’re caused by outdated rules that our subconscious still follows out of loyalty—an ideology we’ve been conditioned to believe makes our big (scary) emotions a significant weakness and block to success.

The words we say, even silently, in our heads, translate into biochemical signals in the body. Those signals help us surpass every goal with ease or continuously fail, despite major effort. Thoughts and emotions influence health, energy levels, and immunity. The standard rule is to recognize that our bodies are intelligent and are always responding to our verbal cues. The body must obey the mind. It’s one of the rules of the mind. Understanding these little-known rules creates the needed shift in perspective that is essential if we want to reprogram our beliefs permanently.

My experience has shown me that we make extraordinary changes in our lives when we focus on what we can control, like our thoughts.
